ABOUT GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA)

GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) is non profit not government association established in 1993. Its role is to promote the usage of  EAN.UCC system in Slovak Republic. GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) is the only organisation in Slovak Republic to register and allocate EAN numbers according to the licence agreement with EAN International.

GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) is member of EAN International.

Note: As of 1st September EAN SLOVAKIA has changed its name to GS1 SLOVAKIA.

EAN.UCC system offers

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The communication language in GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) is Slovak language.

  • GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) can only allocate EAN numbers for legal entities registered in Slovak Republic.

  • Member of GS1 SLOVAKIA can vote and be elected as a member of management board. Member pays subscriptions according to Law 366/1999 §20 paragraph 12, which determines the allowable amount of subscription from the tax base.

  • Management Board determines the subscriptions according to The Statutes. See the pricelist 2004 (in Slovak language).

REGISTRATION

 

Internet + post

  1. fill in and print out 2 copies of the contract

  2. send the contracts and the extract from The Commercial or appropriate register by post

  3. according to the information provided in the contract we will issue an invoice

  4. EAN numbers will be allocated after the payment is made

Personally

The registration can be carried out in person at the secretariat of GS1 SLOVAKIA (EAN SLOVAKIA) by the statutory body or by person appointed in writing by the statutory body. In order to carry out the registration the extract from Commercial or appropriate Register is needed.
